Michael is a Partner with Grimes & Battersby. Michael's practice primarily encompasses the areas of complex litigation, corporate counseling and intellectual property. As a litigator, Michael has represented prominent businesses and individuals in disputes involving corporate conflicts, trademark and patent infringement, copyright, defamation, commercial contracts, government contracts, fraud and RICO related actions. In addition, Michael has been involved in white collar cases and has experience defending clients charged with RICO, money laundering and violation of anti-corruption laws, such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Michael has counseled global manufacturers as well as start-ups and inventors on matters such as corporate formation, asset acquisition, intellectual property portfolio management and protection and risk management. Michael has particular experience with firearms and defense manufacturers.

Michael is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the District of Connecticut, Southern District of New York, and Eastern District of New York as well as the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Michael has been involved in litigations across the United States and counseled clients worldwide.
